Windhoek, 22 February 2020 (SPS) – Namibian President, H. E. Hage Geingob, on Friday reiterated the continued support of Namibia for the self-determination and independence of Western Sahara, and the struggle of the Sahrawi people.
Mr. Geingob said that Namibia will continue to call for self-determination in Western Sahara, which is under Moroccan occupation.
The Namibian president’s statement came following a farewell reception to the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Saharawi Republic to Namibia and Angola, Mr. Bah Sheikh Mohamed, which took place at the headquarters of the Namibian Presidency, reported the Namibian News Agency (NBC).
