Havana, 14 March 2020 (SPS) – President of Cuba, H.E. Miguel Diaz, received on Friday at the Presidency of the Republic in Havana, the Sahrawi Ambassador, Mohamed Salek Abdulsamad, who presented him with his credentials as an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sahrawi Republic to Cuba.
During the ceremony, which was attended by Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, President Miguel Diaz reiterated his country’s firm position in support of the right to self-determination of the Sahrawi people, as well as the support of the Cuban revolution for the just struggle of the Sahrawi people.
For his part, the Sahrawi ambassador who had presented a copy of his credentials at the Cuban Foreign Ministry, praised the bilateral relations between the two countries and Cuba’s support for the Sahrawi cause. (SPS)
