The President of the Saharawi human rights group CODESA, Mrs. Aminatou Haidar, considered that the Saharawi people have already decided their fate back in the 27th of February 1976, when they proclaimed the constitution of their free and independence State, the Saharawi Republic.
Asked by Algerian journalist, Reda Chenouf, in an interview published by the biggest Algerian newspaper, Al Khabar, Aminatou estimated that none can decide over the future of Western Sahara but the Saharawi people “The sole holder of sovereignty over the territory”.
