Algiers, August 19, 2016 (SPS)- The president of the National Advisory Commission for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights (CNCPPDH) Farouk Ksentini said he is “fully confident” in the Sahrawi woman’s ability to take example from the Algerian woman, by effectively participating in the recovery of her country’s independence, under occupation for over 40 years.

“I am very confident in the Sahrawi woman’s ability to take example from the Algerian woman, by effectively participating in the recovery of freedom and independence of Western Sahara,” under occupation for more than 40 years said Ksentini at the opening of a solidarity conference on Sahrawi woman’s resistance for the protection of Human rights, organized Thursday in downtown Algiers.

Ksentini stressed that Algerian and Sahrawi women “are concerned by the same historic battle, that of the liberation from the colonial yoke,” adding that “this same battle will unquestionably end in triumph.”

“Today, it is a message of solidarity in the fight, signed by Algerian and Sahrawi women to show the world their consciousness for just causes and their aspirations for a decent life, like the other women in the world,” he added.

Sahrawi ambassador to Algiers Bechraya Bayoune affirmed the Sahrawi people’s determination in continuing their historic fight for the recovering of freedom and independence on all Sahrawi territories, underlining that “the Moroccan regime’s aggressive attitude in the occupied territories denotes confusion among the Moroccan side, of which consequences could be disastrous.”SPS
