Rabat (Morocco) September 10, 2016 (SPS) – Sahrawi political prisoners, Gdeim Izik group, started Friday a warning hunger strike at the local prison of Alargat for 48 hours, according to Sahrawi human rights source.
This strike comes to denounce the harassment they have suffered since their deportation, on 31 August, from the local prison of Salé 1 to the local prison of Alargat in the outskirts of Salé, near the Moroccan capital Rabat.
It also comes in protest against the deterioration of their situation and conditions inside the prison of Alargat, tightening procedures on family visits, poor meals and all indifference ways pursued by the prison administration.
Moreover, Saharawi political prisoners, Gdeim Izik group, denounce by their hunger strike the continuous arbitrary detention for more than six years, demanding their release without conditions and the need to have all their legitimate rights, added the source. (SPS)
