Boumerdes (Algeria), 07 August 2019 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO, Mr. Brahim Gali, stressed that it is time for the UN Security Council to take full responsibility for the unacceptable and unjustified delay in resolving the Sahrawi issue.
In his closing remarks at the Summer University of the Sahrawi cadres, President Brahim Gali reaffirmed that «the time has come for the United Nations, and the Security Council in particular, to shoulder full responsibility for the unacceptable and unjustified delay in the decolonization process of Western Sahara, the last colony in Africa» .
The President added that prolonging the suffering of the Sahrawi people, which is a prolongation of the suffering of the Moroccan people and the peoples of the region, is a flagrant injustice and irresponsible reluctance which would lead the region and the world to more tension and serious dangers on peace and security.
