Durban (South Africa), January 13, 2019 (SPS) – President of South African, Cyril Ramaphosa, has reaffirmed support for the just struggle of Sahrawi people for freedom and independence, in a speech marking the 107th anniversary of the founding of the African National Congress (ANC) in Durban, South Africa.
«The struggle of the Sahrawi people for freedom and independence is our struggle,» he said. «In the ANC, we will continue to fight alongside the Polisario Front to enable the Sahrawi people to exercise their right to self-determination, freedom and independence,” he added.
He also affirmed continuation of work alongside the Government of the Sahrawi Republic in the African Union and at the United Nations level in order to complete its sovereignty over all the territory of Western Sahara, the last colony in Africa. (SPS)
