Amhereez (Liberated Territories), January 7, 2019 (SPS) – The Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) on Sunday performed a military maneuver in the northern sector, Amhereez region, in the presence of President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Brahim Ghali.
The maneuver was attended by members of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, the Government, the General Staff of the Army and delegations from national institutions and the occupied territories of Western Sahara.
The maneuver that lasted for several hours in the 4th military region sector was carried out by various infantry, air defense, engineering, and supply and support units of the fighters of the military region.
The implementation of such combat drills is essential to train units and individuals on combat operations close to reality, as well as to examine the combat readiness of units and ability to perform the required tasks accurately. (SPS)
