School June 9, Sept 12 (SPS) – Following his appointment at the last meeting of the National Secretariat, the first meeting of the Preparatory Commission of the XV Congress of the Frente POLISARIO took place yesterday. In this first act the President of the Republic and General Secretary of the Frente POLISARIO, Brahim Gali, was present, accompanied by members of the Government and the National Secretariat.
In his speech before the 113 members of the commission, the Saharawi president has stressed the need to redouble efforts and work to ensure the success of the important and historic meeting of the Saharawi people. Also the great responsibility assumed by the preparatory commission in this mission.
«The preparatory commission has representation from all the organizations and social sectors of the nation,» said the Saharawi president.
In this first meeting held Wednesday, Brahim Gali recalled that «the Saharawi people, based on their history and commitment to the martyrs, will fail all the tricks of the enemy and their efforts to hinder the success of the XV Congress of the Polisario Front.»
For his part, the president of the preparatory commission, Jatri Aduh, emphasized the responsibility of all members of the commission to organize a successful congress from all perspectives and contribute to the projection of a national dialogue to consolidate the resistance and advance the Saharawi struggle for self-determination and independence.SPS
