The former Saharawi political prisoner Mohamed Daihani is reported to have been arrested by the Tunisian police forces. This arrest comes after his revelations on the barbaric circumstances he went through during his six years of arbitrary detention, on the shocking realities of Morocco prisons and the cunning manoeuvres of Moroccan higher officials. He has been posting live facebook streamings from his residency in Tunisia where he pursues a therapeutical program supervised by Amnesty International.

The revelations, which we wrote about in this site, seem to have touched the nerves of the Moroccan regime’s officials involved in torture and the fabrication of terrorism and exposed the rampant corruption within the prison institutions. The exposure of such facts by date and names has widely roiled national and international institutions leading Morocco to exert pressure on the Tunisian state to silence him. Some observers indicate that the Moroccans asked for his extradition to Morocco; a move that will lead these involved Moroccan officials to take revenge on him. Will the Tunisians yield to the pressure and handle him back to the Moroccans? So far, the Tunisian officials ordered him to stop his political activism in the Tunisian lands and stick to the therapeutical mission for which he was granted residency.

Hours later, Daihani was released and currently he is in his residency in Tunisia while the world is colsely watching, hands crossed.
