Kigali, July 17, 2019 (SPS) -The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, was received by the Rwandan President, Paul Kagame, who handed him a letter from the President of the Republic, Brahim Gali.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and the ways to promote it for the benefit of the two peoples. They also examined the progress of the conflict between the Saharawi Republic and the Kingdom of Morocco and the efforts of the international community to put an end to the entrenched dispute decades ago without substantial progress.
The Rwandan nation together with Egypt and South Africa make up the African mechanism established to work to end the conflict between the Saharawi Republic and Morocco in cooperation with the United Nations.
The Head of Saharawi Diplomacy held bilateral talks yesterday with his Rwandan counterpart, during which the African agenda and perspectives for joint action were reviewed in light of current developments and challenges at the continental.SPS
