Shaheed Alhafeed, December 30, 2018 (SPS) – President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Brahim Ghali, on Sunday chaired a meeting of the General Staff of the Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense.
The President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, highlighted that the meeting was an opportunity to discuss the latest field and operational developments on national defense, in addition to briefing the chiefs of staff about the latest developments related to the Sahrawi issue at the regional and international levels.
He noted the high level and high performance witnessed by the comprehensive and integrated programs allocated by the SPLA during 2018, which were examined through the central inspection tour which covered all regiments of the Sahrawi Army, commending the efforts made by army units to maintain the security of the liberated territories of the Sahrawi Republic, calling on them to be more vigilant and readiness to carry out tasks.
