Luanda (Angola), December 16, 2024 (SPS) – The Sahrawi Ambassador to Angola and Namibia, Mr. Hamdi Khalil Mayara, participated in the 8th extraordinary congress of the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA), at the invitation of the ruling party in Angola.

The MPLA  and the Polisario Front have historical ties dating back to the armed struggle against Portuguese and Spanish colonialism in Angola and occupied Western Sahara.

On the sidelines of the congress, the Sahrawi ambassador, representing the Popular Front, held several meetings with Angolan leadership participating in the congress, including members of the Political Bureau and the Central Committee, who reiterated their full solidarity with the just struggle of the Sahrawi people.
