Then they are joined by Jean McAuslan and Yasser Qaso. Yasser came to Melbourne as a refugee from Syria (where he was a dentist), and is studying to become an interpreter. Jean is stepping down as lead curator and head of access and learning at The Shrine after 11 years. Her final exhibition, Changed Forever: Legacies of Conflict, includes Yasser’s story. The exhibition is on at The Shrine of Remembrance until 14th October. It will then tour across Victoria.
